X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Extra Scenes During and After Credits
16 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on April 27, 2009

During the credits of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, there is an extra scene that shows Colonel William Stryker walking down a road with his shoes ripped open and his feet bleeding due to how far he has walked. A military unit is shown finding and telling him that he’s wanted for questioning in connection with the death of General Munson. This is in reference to the end of the movie where Kayla tells Stryker to walk until his feet bleed and then keep walking.

After the credits of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, there is an extra scene that shows Wolverine at a bar in Japan drinking shots of whiskey. After asking for another shot, the Japanese bartender asks him if he is American. Wolverine responds, “Canadian… I think.” She then asks if he’s drinking to forget and he replies, “No. I’m drinking to remember.” This is in reference to the end of the movie where Stryker shoots Wolverine in the head with a adamantium bullet that erases his memory.

Director Gavin Hood has said that they’ve hidden multiple secret endings on different prints and theaters will be showing different versions.

One of the extra post-credits scenes zooms in on the rubble and on Deadpool’s arm groping out from beneath it. You see his head, and then the hand grasps the head and his eyes pop open. Deadpool’s mouth has broken free and glaring with a knowing sparkle in his eye at the camera, he simply says, “SHHH…” as the camera cuts to black.

Special thanks to Autumn for the 2nd post-credits scene confirmation.

Are the post-credits scenes worth sticking around for?

Yes they will probably make a sequel tie in more Gambit maybe more Saber Tooth and possibly Captain America (during the beginning of Wolverine it just shows flashes of Wolverine in WWII doesn't go in depth)it would be cool to see Omega Red in the sequel

Fox and sony should just give the xmen/spiderman and any other properties back to marvel. Marvel has been doing a great job with their movies and trying to link them together. Im looking forward to Marvel movies like Thor, C. America, Ant man, Iron Man 2, and Avengers. But im hesitant about wolverine origins and spiderman 4

important to note that the bartender wolverine is talking to is deathstrike, the mutant he kills in x-men 2.

i should have been more clear with the details. this scene insinuates that wolverine did in fact have a relationship with lady deathstrike (yuriko oyama) prior to the events of x-men 2 (as anyone familiar with the comics probably assumed). her being his bartender is probably not an accident, as her backstory involves her search for/to obtain adamantium through wolverine.

They zoom in on the rubble and on Deadpool's arm groping out from beneath it. You see his head, and then the hand grasps the head and his eyes pop open. I wish I'd gotten to see the Wolverine ending instead, it sounds better. =/

The Wolverine ending was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay disappointing. I couldn't believe I sat through the credits just to watch Wolverine drink, and then I was actually MAD when I found out some people got treated to seeing Deadpool come back to life AND (in the spirit of the comic books) break the fourth wall by hushing the audience. I am a devout comic book geek and, even more so, a huge Deadpool fan and that sounded like a much more satisfying post-credits scene.

The Deadpool scene just wasn't that dramatic though. They could have played it up a little more… Made the Shh more forceful, instead it was sort of lackluster.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the Deadpool ending myself, (which I was disappointed about, cause I'm a bit of a Deadpool fan) but come on… Granted, it isn't supposed to be realistic, but the guy got his freakin head chopped off. How is he gonna get more than a feeble "shh" out without lungs?

anyone who is a a fan of the comics will either love or hate this movie, i am a big fan and although i wish they would stay truer to the comics i enjoyed this movie, we got the deadpool ending but have seen the seen with Wolverine in Japan, whose not to say that the bartender is not Itsu (who later becomes his wife) instead of lady deathstrike?

This movie sucked big time. Not even the extra scenes at the end could change my opinion of it (had I not left early)

Hmm, I remember the Wolverine scene before the credits ("I'm drinking to remember") as well as Stryker walking till his feet bleed, all before/at the start of the credits. Wish I stayed for the Deadpool scene.

Can’t find the Deadpool scene, and the torrent I dl’d for this has the sound quit during the credits so I was treated to seeing Wolverine and hot asian lady drinking in silence.

adamantium bullet? really now? I liked the movie, but that was just f-ing stupid.

And lastly, the sequel should be the intro to the movie imop. War is awesome, and war with a guy who sprouts bone claws is even awesomer jaja
