DreamWorks Announced 2009-2012 Release Dates

DreamWorks Animation has just announced their plans for releasing five feature films every two years, all in digital 3D:

March 26, 2010: How To Train Your Dragon – The son of a Viking trains his scrawny, toothless dragon to be a brave hero. Based on Cressida Cowell’s children’s book, “How to Train Your Dragon.”
May 21, 2010: Shrek Forever After
November 5, 2010: Oobermind – Similar to The Incredibles, a superhero movie satire which will star Robert Downey Jr, Ben Stiller and Tina Fey.
June 3, 2011: Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom
November 4, 2011: The Guardians – Classic children’s story characters such as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny unite to defend the world from a Bogeyman-like villain.
March 20, 2012: Puss in Boots - A spin-off and prequel to Shrek 2, featuring Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek.
May 27, 2012: Madagascar 3

Bolt Movie (Re)View

When a once-untouchable studio like Walt Disney Animation releases such atrocious slop like Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons as another powerhouse like Pixar embarrasses it annually, it’s not a surprise when the former tries to buy out the latter. After the Walt Disney Company did just that, it was still hard to imagine that its animation studio could avoid the CGI hat trick of shame. Well… surprise! Their newest film, Bolt, has the magic touch and should contend with DreamWorks’ Kung Fu Panda and Pixar’s WALL-E for this year’s best animated feature. Bolt, which plays like a canine Truman Show, electrifies from the beginning and maintains the buzz for nearly the entire film. John Travolta and Miley Cyrus are the headliners, but it’s Susie Essman’s voice talent that stands out remarkably. At its visual best during the action-packed TV sequences, Bolt is indeed “fully awesome,” and even better if you manage to catch it in 3D in select theaters.

Kung Fu Panda: Extra Scene After Credits

After the animated credits of Kung Fu Panda there is a very short scene that shows Po and Shifu eating dumplings together under a tree. The camera slowly zooms out to show the seed planted earlier by Oogway and Shifu, now growing, representing Po blossoming into the Dragon Warrior.

Are the extras during the credits worth waiting around for?
