The big announcement by Sony at this year’s Game Developers Conference was that not only has Zipper (creator of SOCOM and MAG) been hard at work on a new SOCOM, but that it will be one of the first games to utilize Sony’s new motion control setup that is being called Playstation Move.

Move has potential and I’m glad that Sony is taking chances by having big titles use the new motion control scheme, but I’m still not impressed with the footage. While the game looks great and the motion controls look fun, the accuracy of aiming looks nowhere near as precise as using the good ol’ sticks. Fortunately, Zipper has announced that hardcore gamers can still use Sixaxis and DualShock 3 controllers.

Everyone has been waiting on Bungie to show off Halo 3: ODST at this year’s E3, however nobody saw the announcement of a completely new Halo game coming. Apparently the boys at Bungie have been working overtime on a top secret new game in the Halo series.

Check out the video below of Bungie showing off gameplay from ODST and the first teaser trailer for Halo: Reach from today’s Microsoft Press Conference at E3 2009. Halo: ODST is set for release on September 22, 2010 which will include a multiplayer beta for Halo: Reach, similar to how Crackdown included the beta for Halo 3. Hit the jump for the full video. This game just keeps looking better and better. Batman: Arkham Asylum uses of the Unreal Engine 3 and looks beautiful. Check out this new gameplay footage in which the game’s director, Sefton Hill, walks you through the Silent Knight Challenge Mode and shows off predator gameplay. Honestly, there is only one reason that you must have Prototype and that’s because it looks badass. When I first saw trailers for this game I was speechless. I want to say this game looks like Grand Theft Auto on crack… but Crackdown was the result of Grand Theft Auto on crack. This game is far beyond Crackdown. Prototype looks like Grand Theft Auto on acid. Prototype comes out this June and if you haven’t seen or heard about this game, I strongly suggest checking the HD for the top ten reasons you must have Prototype after the break. (more…)
