One of the biggest surprises of this years Spike Video Game Awards (besides that they actually picked the right Game of the Year) was the announcement that after just releasing Batman: Arkham Asylum back in August, Rocksteady Studios has already starting working on a sequel. It was officially announced during the beginning of the show with a trailer showing a sickly Joker recovering from the events of the first game in a rundown carnival. During the credits there are black and white illustrations of the characters shown. After the credits of Batman: Arkham Asylum there are multiple random extra scenes that are shown. The extra scene starts off with Batman flying away in the Batwing as the camera then tilts down to show a hand reaching out of the water. While the scene begins the same, the hand is random and is either the hand of Bane, Killer Croc or Scarecrow.

Is the extra scene worth sticking around for?

This game just keeps looking better and better. Batman: Arkham Asylum uses of the Unreal Engine 3 and looks beautiful. Check out this new gameplay footage in which the game’s director, Sefton Hill, walks you through the Silent Knight Challenge Mode and shows off predator gameplay.
