Make sure you stick around until after the credits of Max Payne. There is an extra scene after the credits that sets up a sequel. During the credits there are animations of explosions from guns being fired and glass shattering.
After the credits Max is shown walking into the bar, he sits down with Mona and she hands him a newspaper article that shows Aesir Pharmaceuticals rise in stock and a picture of Nicole Horne. Max looks back at Mona and the scene ends.
Is the scene after the credits worth waiting around for?

If they had spent less money on the sweet end credits and more on the actual special effects in the movie, it might have been better.

I thought the special effects were phenomenal. The slo mo scenes lived up to the video game feel 100%.

This Movie Sucked, It Should Have Been Rated-R From The Start. If you played max payne, (unlike the cast) There are way too many differences. First Of All, The game was so (on purpose) dark and gritty with blood, slow motion effects nyc at an edge. Instead, John Moore Replaced It With A Boring Start And No Blood At All, About The Two Things That I Liked Was The (only) Slo Motion Effect With The Shotgun And The End Credits, (Cause It Was Finally Over) I Hate When A Flim Makes A Mockery Of A Beloved Game Like Max Payne. Hitman (2007)
Was Overall Way Bloodier And Fun Cause It Was RATED R. Don’t Watch This Crappy Movie, If You Want To Watch It And Not Be Dissapointed, Get The Unrated Version Way Bloodier And Better, The Game Kicks Ass, This Movie Sucks. If I Was Moore, I Would Stop Directing Movies, Max Payne Would Have Been Good If They Hired The Right Director Like (for example) John Woo. With His Great Game And Flims Like Hard-Boiled. It Would Have Been Awesome!!!
