Nobody saw this one coming, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Price broke the midnight release box office record held by last summer’s blockbuster (greatest movie ever) The Dark Night. The Half-Blood Prince made over $20 million at its midnight opening, edging out The Dark Night which previously held the title at $18 million.
