Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: Extras During and After Credits
2 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on November 15, 2008

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is one of the first movies to have extra footage during and after the credits. First, Mr. Rooney is first shown limping down the street after being attacked by Farris’ dog and failing to catch Ferris skipping school. A school bus driver pulls up and asks him if he got in a fight and if he wants a ride. When he gets on, all the students are silent and staring at him with their mouths wide open. He ends up sitting next to a nerdy girl who offers him gummy bears that she keeps in her pocket to stay warm and soft. As he looks around the bus he sees “Rooney Eats It!!” written on the roof and “Save Ferris” on one of the student’s binders.

After the credits of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Ferris is shown coming out of his bathroom and talking directly to the camera. “You’re still here?” he asks, “It’s over. Go home… Go.”

Are the scenes during the credits worth sticking around for?
