The big announcement by Sony at this year’s Game Developers Conference was that not only has Zipper (creator of SOCOM and MAG) been hard at work on a new SOCOM, but that it will be one of the first games to utilize Sony’s new motion control setup that is being called Playstation Move.

Move has potential and I’m glad that Sony is taking chances by having big titles use the new motion control scheme, but I’m still not impressed with the footage. While the game looks great and the motion controls look fun, the accuracy of aiming looks nowhere near as precise as using the good ol’ sticks. Fortunately, Zipper has announced that hardcore gamers can still use Sixaxis and DualShock 3 controllers.

SOCOM: US Navy SEALs 4 is set for release this fall along with Playstation Move. Hit the jump for footage of SOCOM 4 being played from GDC 2010 and the first official HQ screenshots.

The guys over at Bethesda have been working on a new first-person shooter called Brink. They claim that Brink is going to revolutionize the FPS genre and if the game itself turns out anywhere near as awesome as their latest cinematic trailer from the 2010 Game Developers Conference, then they might be right.

Brink’s key gameplay feature is what they’re calling S.M.A.R.T. (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) which works similar to the free running in Mirror’s Edge. However, unlike Mirror’s Edge, Brink focuses on multiplayer and looks to feature gameplay similar to the Team Fortress series. Brink is set for release in Fall 2010. Hit the jump for the full cinematic trailer and a second video of director Paul Wedgwood explaining how the S.M.A.R.T. system works.

Check out the latest trailer for Iron Man 2, with proof that Samuel L. Jackson will be playing Nick Fury with a larger role than his post-credits scene in the original. The only question is, if Nick Fury is now included in the movie — will there be another stinger after the credits of Iron Man 2? Maybe with Captain America? Guess we’ll have to wait for the best day of the year to find out, May 7th, 2010. But for now, hit the jump for the full HD trailer.

Discovered on the viral site Flynn Lives, the latest trailer for Tron Legacy explains the plot, unlike the first teaser trailer. Alan Bradley is shown telling Sam Flynn that he has heard a signal from Sam’s lost father, Kevin.

Leading to Sam investigating at the old Flynn’s Arcade, where he finds evidence that his father had been working on an unknown secret project. Explained as work that could “Change everything… science, medicine, religion.” Sam accesses a gateway to a new digital world where he finds his father.

Both the trailer and the movie look amazing, the only thing that doesn’t look amazing is the release date. 12-17-2010?! That’s still a good 9 months away! I guess there’s Clash of the Titans next month to satisfy my 3D needs. Check out the full HD trailer after the jump.
