CloverfieldDon’t waste your time sitting around! Cloverfield doesn’t have any good extra footage during or after the credits. However, there is some static and voices at the end that hint at a sequel.

Hint: Check the right side of the screen during the last Coney Island scene.

Check the following link to hear the static after the credits of somebody saying “Help Us” then played backwards “It’s Still Alive” - Cloverfield Static Link

Hi, I found your blog via Google while searching for movie extras and your post regarding Extra Static After Cloverfield Credits looks very interesting for me.

I am not 100% certain it actually says “It’s still alive.”

JJ Abrams said said himself in Rolling Stone that the bombs killed the monster. You can see a pic of the interview here.

The idea for the sequel was alternate camera footage, with them possibly intersecting with the first cast on the bridge, but Abrams said he would rather do something else than a sequel. Money talks, though.

Hmm that’s interesting Shaun. I remember reading about rumors of using another person’s camera footage like the guy on the bridge for a sequel but I didn’t know that Abrams said himself that the monster was dead.

There was no indication that the monster was a baby> but you will find on dvd extras that that was some how clear>however that should suggest a sequel in mind. But just like previous comment. it does not matter what anyone says including producers, writers, or replies left here. Money does talk! plain and simple..

J.J. Abrams was just quoted at Comic Con saying, “There’s something we’re playing with now that may or may not happen. There’s an idea we have that plays with… it’s not a literal sequel.“
