  • Second Official Iron Man 2 HD Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on March 11, 2010 under Movie News, Movie Trailers

Check out the latest trailer for Iron Man 2, with proof that Samuel L. Jackson will be playing Nick Fury with a larger role than his post-credits scene in the original. The only question is, if Nick Fury is now included in the movie — will there be another stinger after the credits of Iron Man 2? Maybe with Captain America? Guess we’ll have to wait for the best day of the year to find out, May 7th, 2010. But for now, hit the jump for the full HD trailer. (more…)

  • Official New Tron Legacy HD Trailer 1 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on March 10, 2010 under Movie News, Movie Trailers

Discovered on the viral site Flynn Lives, the latest trailer for Tron Legacy explains the plot, unlike the first teaser trailer. Alan Bradley is shown telling Sam Flynn that he has heard a signal from Sam’s lost father, Kevin.

Leading to Sam investigating at the old Flynn’s Arcade, where he finds evidence that his father had been working on an unknown secret project. Explained as work that could “Change everything… science, medicine, religion.” Sam accesses a gateway to a new digital world where he finds his father.

Both the trailer and the movie look amazing, the only thing that doesn’t look amazing is the release date. 12-17-2010?! That’s still a good 9 months away! I guess there’s Clash of the Titans next month to satisfy my 3D needs. Check out the full HD trailer after the jump. (more…)

The trailer not only shows off new modes and features, but also confirms the May 3, 2010 date for the start of beta. The beta will be included on the disc of Halo 3: ODST, similar to how Bungie included the Halo 3 beta with copies of Crackdown. Things are looking good for the latest installment of Halo with many upgrades to the game, it even looks like Halo is going the Tribes route with the addition of jet packs. • Official HD BioShock 2 Launch Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on February 3, 2010 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

One word. Wow. Although this video isn’t actual gameplay footage, just the thought of a couple years from now when games will be able to produce graphics this good gets me excited. • Lost Planet 2 now mixed with Gears of War? 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on January 27, 2010 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

What the hell is going on? Just a couple days ago it was announced that the Game of the Year Uncharted 2 was was releasing a downloadable character pack for $4.99 that would allow people to play as many of the most recognizable characters from Playstation’s biggest games in multiplayer.

Now, Capcom has released a teaser trailer that shows Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago from the Gears of War series fighting in the Lost Planet 2 universe. The trailer ends with the Gears of War logo behind the Lost Planet 2 logo. Will this be a feature that comes standard with the game, be downloadble content or online multiplayer only? Your guess is as good as mine cause this trailer has me left scratching my head and wondering why all these games are turning into next-gen Super Smash Bros. Check out the trailer after the break. • Official Mass Effect 2 HD Launch Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on January 21, 2010 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

If there’s one thing that recent video games like Mass Effect 2 and Uncharted 2 prove, it’s that games are becoming more and more similar to big-budget Hollywood movies. Not only are games becoming more advanced in terms of special effects, but those advances in special effects are allowing for greater character development and epic story telling that didn’t exist in video games in the past. Take a look at the official Mass Effect 2 launch trailer and the production quality that makes it on par with any big-budget movie trailer out today. (more…)

  • Official MacGruber HD Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on January 21, 2010 under Movie News, Movie Trailers

Back in March of 2009 when this site first starting doing news, I wrote about MacGyver coming back, but this time to the big screen. While I wasn’t too excited about the popular television series coming back in movie form, I made the comment that I’d much rather see a MacGruber movie. Well, it looks like somebody from Universal Pictures read my post and decided I was right. All kidding aside, for people who still don’t know who or what MacGruber is, it’s one of the only funny sketches that Saturday Night Live still does that pokes fun at the classic television show MacGyver. The trailer doesn’t seem too funny, but I still have high hopes for this movie. Hit the jump for the official HD trailer. (more…)

  • Halo: Reach World Premier HD Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on December 13, 2009 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

Halo: Reach was this year’s most anticipated world premier trailer at the Spike Video Game Awards. Set for release in 2010, Halo: Reach will be the prequel to original Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox and Bungie’s last title in the Halo series. The graphics look to be a huge upgrade over this year’s Halo 3: ODST; however, there is no gameplay footage as the trailer only shows pre-rendered scenes. While the graphics look great, I still can’t help but notice that the game bears a similar resemblance to Gears of War with the improved graphics, helicopters, and added armor that the Spartans are wearing. Still, Reach looks very promising and something that every Xbox owner can look forward to, unlike this years Halo 3: ODST. Click the jump for the full trailer. (more…)

  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II World Premier Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on December 13, 2009 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

Another surprise at this year’s Spike Video Game Awards was the announcement of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. The trailer for the sequel to 2008’s hit Star Wars: The Force Unleashed shows Starkiller, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice battling a beast that throws a rancor like a rag doll. The trailer also announces that the game will be released in 2010. Click the jump for the full trailer. (more…)

  • Batman: Arkham Asylum Sequel World Premier Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on December 13, 2009 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

One of the biggest surprises of this years Spike Video Game Awards (besides that they actually picked the right Game of the Year) was the announcement that after just releasing Batman: Arkham Asylum back in August, Rocksteady Studios has already starting working on a sequel. It was officially announced during the beginning of the show with a trailer showing a sickly Joker recovering from the events of the first game in a rundown carnival. Gotham City is also shown in the trailer with the tag-line “Arkham Has Moved.” Hit the jump for the full trailer. (more…)

Bungie has just released a new trailer for the upcoming Halo 3: ODST game coming out for Xbox 360 on 9/22/09. The trailer is one of the best trailers I’ve ever seen for a video game and shows what a Halo movie could potentially look like. Hopefully the success of District 9 and this trailer can help inspire production of the Halo movie to pick up again. Hit the jump for the HD trailer. (more…)

  • District 9 Unique Marketing Campaign Begins 1 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on June 4, 2009 under Movie News, Movie Trailers

If you haven’t heard of District 9 yet, the marketing team behind Tristar Pictures is doing their best to inform you in some unique ways. Similar to the Cloverfield viral marketing campaign, District 9’s official site is supposedly run by Multi-National United, a fake company that will be featured in the film. There are also more fake websites, billboards, and other advertisements popping up as the release date gets closer. District 9 is set for release on August 14th, 2009 and is being directed by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Peter Jackson who were supposed to be working on the Halo movie, but due to a disagreement over distribution rights suspended production. Hit the jump for pictures, links and HD trailers. (more…)

Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming pc mmorpg, Star Wars: Old Republic. Although the game will look and play nowhere near as good as this rendered trailer, it’s still worth watching, especially if you’re a Star Wars fan. We all know how the last Star Wars mmorpg turned out, so lets hope this one does a little better. Click the jump for the full length HD trailer. (more…)

  • Left 4 Dead 2 Announced with HD Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on June 1, 2009 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

It seems like it was just yesterday that I was seeing footage at E3 2007 of a crazy new game that was set to introduce a whole new style of gameplay with 4 players fighting off thousands of zombies called Left 4 Dead.

Now two years later, it’s time for the sequel after the huge success of Left 4 Dead. It’s pretty surprising that the sequel is already set for release this November, but hey, I’m not complaining.

One of the biggest improvements that the trailer teases is the ability to use more items such as chainsaws and frying pans to kill zombies, similar to Capcom’s Dead Rising. Click the jump for the full HD trailer. (more…)

  • Crackdown 2 Announced with Teaser Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on June 1, 2009 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

If you’ve never heard of Crackdown, it was the game that everyone bought because it included the beta for Halo 3. The game itself was pretty much Grand Theft Auto on crack and turned out to actually be very good and not just a disc with access to the Halo 3 beta.

While I’m not a big fan of trailers that don’t show any actual gameplay footage and the fact that Crackdown 2 is being produced by a different studio than the original, hearing those old Crackdown sounds and that announcer’s voice in the trailer has me excited for Crackdown 2. Hit the jump for the official teaser trailer.
