Not only has our site grown in terms of content with our database now having over 600 movies and video games, close to 50 reviews and over 200 news stories, but we’ve also grown in terms of fans. Since April 2008, MovieStinger has accumulated over 700,000 pageviews from visitors coming from 179 different countries/territories. Some of our loyal fans have even joined the MovieStinger team and we now have Vinnie Leduc as our Senior Contributing Editor and Movie Reviewer and Yoda808 as our Contributing Editor in charge of the Coming Soon section.

Over the past year, MovieStinger has also been featured on popular websites and internet tech shows like Film Junk and Tekzilla. We even attended the 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) at the Los Angeles Convention Center last June and featured exclusive media coverage with news and previews of upcoming games from the showroom floor.

It has been a great year for us and we’re always looking for more dedicated fans to help with expanding our database and submitting interesting news stories. If you’re a fan of the site and would like to join our team then be sure to constantly submit legit information on movies and games via our user submission system. We still have a lot of big plans and ideas for MovieStinger, so stay tuned as we continue to grow and improve.

While the new version of MovieStinger is live, there are still many small tweaks that need to be made, so please bare with us if you notice any pages that look a little weird. We have over 500 articles in our database and are working our best to convert all of them to match the new style of our site.

After an amazing year, MovieStinger continues to grow in popularity amongst hardcore film fans and casual moviegoers. Just one year ago we had 15,000 unique visitors. With the help of our fans spreading the word and being featured on some of the internet’s best sites such as Gizmodo and Lifehacker, we now have over 150,000 unique visitors who have accumulated 350,000 pageviews!

And what birthday isn’t complete without something shiny and new?

That is why we are proud to announce that MovieStinger is teaming up with Apple’s iTunes! Users can now search MovieStinger for what songs play during the credits of their favorite movies and download those songs directly from the iTunes store. Users can also submit information about songs that they don’t see listed on the site’s song database.

We’d like the give a special thanks to all the contributors who have submitted stingers and commented on post, without you the site wouldn’t be where it is today!

Stingers are those extra scenes or additional clips after a movie’s credits. They offer some satisfaction to those people stuck in the middle of the theater who are waiting for everyone else to exit or for home-viewers who are too lazy to turn off the DVD-player.

If you didn’t get to hang around the theatre for the extra bonus features, check out MovieStinger.com, an online post-credits scene database. The site tells you which movies do and do not have stingers and whether they are during or after the credits.
