Check out the latest trailer for Iron Man 2, with proof that Samuel L. Jackson will be playing Nick Fury with a larger role than his post-credits scene in the original. The only question is, if Nick Fury is now included in the movie — will there be another stinger after the credits of Iron Man 2? Maybe with Captain America? Guess we’ll have to wait for the best day of the year to find out, May 7th, 2010. But for now, hit the jump for the full HD trailer. (more…)

  • Official New Tron Legacy HD Trailer 1 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on under Movie News, Movie Trailers

Discovered on the viral site Flynn Lives, the latest trailer for Tron Legacy explains the plot, unlike the first teaser trailer. Alan Bradley is shown telling Sam Flynn that he has heard a signal from Sam’s lost father, Kevin.

Leading to Sam investigating at the old Flynn’s Arcade, where he finds evidence that his father had been working on an unknown secret project. Explained as work that could “Change everything… science, medicine, religion.” Sam accesses a gateway to a new digital world where he finds his father.

Both the trailer and the movie look amazing, the only thing that doesn’t look amazing is the release date. 12-17-2010?! That’s still a good 9 months away! I guess there’s Clash of the Titans next month to satisfy my 3D needs. Check out the full HD trailer after the jump. (more…)

The beta will be included on the disc of Halo 3: ODST, similar to how Bungie included the Halo 3 beta with copies of Crackdown. • Lost Planet 2 now mixed with Gears of War? 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on January 27, 2010 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

What the hell is going on? Just a couple days ago it was announced that the Game of the Year Uncharted 2 was was releasing a downloadable character pack for $4.99 that would allow people to play as many of the most recognizable characters from Playstation’s biggest games in multiplayer.

Now, Capcom has released a teaser trailer that shows Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago from the Gears of War series fighting in the Lost Planet 2 universe. The trailer ends with the Gears of War logo behind the Lost Planet 2 logo. Will this be a feature that comes standard with the game, be downloadble content or online multiplayer only? Your guess is as good as mine cause this trailer has me left scratching my head and wondering why all these games are turning into next-gen Super Smash Bros. Check out the trailer after the break. • Official Mass Effect 2 HD Launch Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on January 21, 2010 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

If there’s one thing that recent video games like Mass Effect 2 and Uncharted 2 prove, it’s that games are becoming more and more similar to big-budget Hollywood movies. Not only are games becoming more advanced in terms of special effects, but those advances in special effects are allowing for greater character development and epic story telling that didn’t exist in video games in the past. Take a look at the official Mass Effect 2 launch trailer and the production quality that makes it on par with any big-budget movie trailer out today. (more…)

  • Official MacGruber HD Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on under Movie News, Movie Trailers

Back in March of 2009 when this site first starting doing news, I wrote about MacGyver coming back, but this time to the big screen. While I wasn’t too excited about the popular television series coming back in movie form, I made the comment that I’d much rather see a MacGruber movie. Well, it looks like somebody from Universal Pictures read my post and decided I was right. All kidding aside, for people who still don’t know who or what MacGruber is, it’s one of the only funny sketches that Saturday Night Live still does that pokes fun at the classic television show MacGyver. The trailer doesn’t seem too funny, but I still have high hopes for this movie. Hit the jump for the official HD trailer. (more…)

  • Halo: Reach World Premier HD Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on December 13, 2009 under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

Halo: Reach was this year’s most anticipated world premier trailer at the Spike Video Game Awards. Set for release in 2010, Halo: Reach will be the prequel to original Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox and Bungie’s last title in the Halo series. The graphics look to be a huge upgrade over this year’s Halo 3: ODST; however, there is no gameplay footage as the trailer only shows pre-rendered scenes. While the graphics look great, I still can’t help but notice that the game bears a similar resemblance to Gears of War with the improved graphics, helicopters, and added armor that the Spartans are wearing. Still, Reach looks very promising and something that every Xbox owner can look forward to, unlike this years Halo 3: ODST. Click the jump for the full trailer. (more…)

  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II World Premier Trailer 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on under Video Game News, Video Game Trailers

Another surprise at this year’s Spike Video Game Awards was the announcement of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. The trailer also announces that the game will be released in 2010. Click the jump for the full trailer. (more…)

One of the biggest surprises of this years Spike Video Game Awards (besides that they actually picked the right Game of the Year) was the announcement that after just releasing Batman: Arkham Asylum back in August, Rocksteady Studios has already starting working on a sequel. It was officially announced during the beginning of the show with a trailer showing a sickly Joker recovering from the events of the first game in a rundown carnival. Gotham City is also shown in the trailer with the tag-line “Arkham Has Moved.” Hit the jump for the full trailer. (more…)

  • EA Officially Announces Dead Space 2 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on December 7, 2009 under Video Game News

With all of this year’s biggest games already released, it’s time for developers to start making announcements about what sequels we can expect in the future. In a press release today, executive producer of Dead Space, Steve Papoutsis said:

“We’re thrilled to jump back into the series, making the next chapter in Isaac’s journey. The infection continues to spread throughout space and our hero Isaac Clarke is the only person able to contain it. In Dead Space 2, not everything is exactly as it seems. Expect plot twists that will surprise you and a huge cast of twisted, disgusting monsters that are sure to scare the daylights out of you.”

This is the first official announcement from the development team on a sequel being in the works after months of speculation and rumors. Just a couple days ago EA released a teaser Rorschach style image on the official Dead Space twitter page. Click the jump for the image and translation. (more…)

  • Avatar: The Game Actually Looks Pretty Good 0 CommentsPosted by Paul Curtin on November 28, 2009 under Video Game News

It’s common knowledge that video games based on movies are always awful, and vice-versa; yet, as technology and video games sales both improve drastically, so has the quality of games based on movies. Just last January, Lord of the Rings: Conquest was released and to the shock of many who played the demo, was surprisingly good. While the game was very well-made, many still felt it wasn’t worth the $59.99 purchase price with other huge games being released around the same time such as F.E.A.R. 2, Killzone 2, Mirror’s Edge, Saints Row 2 and Street Fighter IV.

Now, one year later, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game is set for release this Tuesday and is looking very promising and even has a similar multiplayer game style as Lord of the Rings: Conquest. But will the game be the blockbuster hit that many believe the movie will be or will it be left in the shadows of this year’s best games? With the recent releases of some of the best games ever made such as Assassin’s Creed II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and Uncharted 2; it will be hard for Avatar The Game to win over hardcore video game fans and sell copies to anybody who isn’t a fan of the movie. Hit the jump for a HD video preview of the multiplayer gameplay from Avatar The Game. (more…)
