Paul Curtin (Founder and Webmaster)
Recent graduate of the University of Miami with a degree in Business Administration and now a small business owner and starving artist. Paul created MovieStinger in the summer of 2007 as a hobby based on the idea of helping people by saving them time.
Back in the summer of 2008, Paul worked a full time job in addition to running the site. That summer he saw just about every movie possible in theaters, in order to build up the database and make sure the site stayed up to date each week. Luckily, now Paul has help from Vinnie, Yoda, and many other loyal users who submit information on movies that he doesn’t have a chance to see. Because of all the help from other users, Paul no longer needs to see 3-4 new movies in theaters each week, but he still finds time every once in a while to watch multiple movies in one trip to the theater. If he had to pick, his favorite movies would be Back To The Future, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, Forrest Gump, Reign Over Me, and The Dark Knight. Paul has also loved video games ever since he was old enough to pick up a controller and some of his favorite games are Dead Space, Gears of War 2, God of War III, Mass Effect 2, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and anything made by Blizzard. Vinnie Leduc (Senior Contributing Editor and Movie Reviewer)
Vinnie Leduc is a long-time MovieStinger contributor who was brought onto the team after continuously pestering Paul with submissions to the site. Vinnie is in charge of the Reviews section, so yell at him if he trashes the movies you love!
In 2002, Vinnie challenged himself to watch a movie per day, finished with a total of 373, and earned the nickname “MovieWhore” from a friend. Formerly an EA video game tester (Rock Band) and currently a medical student, Vinnie has too many favorite movies but often lists Terminator 2, The Goonies, Pulp Fiction, Back to the Future, and The Matrix Reloaded as his tops. Hailing from Honolulu, Hawaii, Yoda808 helps to maintain and update the Coming Soon and In Theaters sections of the site and lends a hand when needed.
In 2009 he is credited with seeing 60 different films in theaters, not including screenings of films he saw more than one time. Favorite films of all time include The Shawshank Redemption, Star Wars (Original Trilogy), Back to the Future Trilogy, Indiana Jones Trilogy, and Black Hawk Down.
